#ClubWorldCup : Bayern to face PSG as tournament gets tougher

The ongoing club world cup in the United States of America is currently becoming more interesting as the weaker clubs are being pruned.

Jkcynonews gathered from yesterday’s matches that Bayern will face PSG in FIFA club World Cup quarter finals as Flamengo are being booted out.

This was as a result of PSG decimating a Lionel Messi led Inter Miami with a whooping 4-0 to dump them out of the tournament.

Meanwhile, the matchup against PSG in the quarterfinals, set for July 5 in Atlanta, revives a rivalry from the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League semifinal, where PSG’s tactical adaptability under Luis Enrique outmaneuvered Bayern, hinting at a strategic chess match ahead based on their prior 3-2 aggregate win.

In a dramatic turn, Benfica defeated Bayern who went ahead to flog Flamengo that beat chelsea. Chelsea went ahead to beat benfica that defeated Bayern, and Bayern finally won flamengo that initially won chelsea….

Indeed, it was a humbling moment for the former Barcelona duo, Lionel Messi and Liuz Suarez as PSG decimated them.

Ousmane Dembele wrote on Instagram : “How nice to see you again, Messi, the best player of all time… I hope you continue to make history with Inter Miami as you did in the Club World Cup.”

Meanwhile, Former Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp has lamented the impact of the current club world cup on the players. He wrote :

” Jürgen Klopp: “An NBA player earns a lot of money and has 4 months of rest per year. Virgil van Dijk didn’t even have that in his entire career.”
