The outcry from parents, and heartbreak suffered by many candidates caused the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to review the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, results.
Now, 379,997 candidates, cutting across six states of the federation, would retake the examination from Friday May 16 to 18.
It’s still confusing and surprising how this didn’t happen in all other zones in Nigeria but Owerri Zone (housing all the 5 South Eastern states) and some parts of Lagos which is a single zone.

RESHEDULING OF UTME EXAM
JAMB Is set to reschedule the UTME Exam of a Total of 379,997 Candidates due to Technical Failure that Caused a POOR PERFORMANCE Nationwide.
AFFECTED REGIONS WILL RETAKE JAMB UTME EXAM
1. LAGOS
A Total of 206,610 Candidates in 65 JAMB Cbt Centes were Affected, these candidates shall retake the UTME Exam
2. South East States (Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra)
A Total of 173,387 Candidates in 92 JAMB Cbt Centes were Affected
