Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour party, visited victims of a recent gas explosion at the National Orthopaedic Hospital in Enugu. The explosion occurred at the home of an individual associated with Obi’s political support base, known as ‘Obidients.’ During the visit, Obi expressed solidarity and concern for the victims,drawing attention to his leadership style.
Peter Obi wrote below :
“Today, I visited the National Orthopaedic Hospital in Enugu following the heartbreaking news of a ghastly gas explosion that occurred a few days ago at the home of one of our Obidient family members, @Uptownoflagos . The tragic incident left three of his brothers with severe third-degree burns. I was there to offer my support and prayers during this challenging time.

Such an unfortunate event weighs heavily on us all. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their loved ones, and everyone facing similar challenges across the country. I continue to pray for their complete recovery and that God Almighty grants them healing, strength, and comfort.
