Unveiling the new Super Eagles coach – Malian, Éric Chelle today in Abuja, put pen to paper as the new Head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The new coach has been saddled with the responsibility of ensuring Nigeria qualifies for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but he will first guide the Homebased Eagles to CHAN later this month.

Chelle will be working with the three assistants who had been with him, right from when he coached Mali to the quarterfinals of the AFCON 2023 tournament.
Chelle came very close to making the semifinals of AFCON 2023 tournament, narrowly losing to the host nation in extra time.
His first match with the Super Eagles will be in the March window, when he oversees the two qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
