The contradiction of the security system in Nigeria

The news of the Federal Government of Nigeria reuniting 5,000 Boko haram members with their families has met some Nigerians with mixed feelings.

“What’s really happening in Nigeria, most persons ask rhetorically.

What a funny contradiction….

There happens to be some group of persons from the South Eastern part of Nigeria, called The Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) who have been agitating for a possible separation from Nigeria.

Muhammadu Buhari, the former President of Nigeria proscribed them as Terrorists. The court recently upheld that verdict….

Currently, every crime committed in the south east comes under the guise of Unknown Gunmen or most times, they would be labeled IPOB.

Ok… Terrorists group… Noted.

However, we have never heard nor seen where any singular IPOB member has been released to reunite with his family..

Or their own Terrorism is Terrorising enough as against the deadly BOKO HARAM?

There is a contradiction in Nigeria’s security policies that is deepening the root of doubt on the minds of normal people about APC Govt commitment in eradicating terrorism in Nigeria.
It is of further concern about the sense of pride of Nigerian soldiers in killing civilians in the South East and labelling them as IPOB terrorists while granting pardon to the captured Boko Haram flag carrying fighters who are globally recognised as terrorists.
What is the true agenda of Nigerian govt for Igbos in the south east and the protection of Boko Haram fighters in the north?
Recently, 21 Nigerian soldiers, including their commander were killed by Boko Haram terrorists and no palpable anger was demonstrated either by the President or the Military top hierarchy.
where is Nigeria heading with this pardoning and integrating Boko Haram terrorists while the Islamic religious leaders are spreading Sharia laws and courts across the country, attempting to push or force Islamic culture on everyone to the detriment of ethnic cultural values, traditions and norms.
Unless Nigerians sit together to have a proper conversation and dialogue, there will be a serious unavoidable conflict in the land.

Again i ask, those families whose members have all been wiped out by these same BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS, what happens to them?

Those brave soldiers who paid the ultimate price fighting these terrorists, what happens to them?

What of those soldiers who risked their lives to arrest these Terrorists and would have to watch as the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT sews White Ashebi for same dreaded terrorists to send them home?

This is a country where ordinary protesters are currently still languishing in jails but terrorists are allowed to go back to thier families…

Oh, i forgot, they’re repentant…. All the lives they wasted never mattered afterall….

This goes in circles… The Military ⚔️ would do their best to arrest the Boko Haram Terrorists and release them again and start chasing fresh ones to be released sometime in future again….

Remember, some batches were released during Buhari’s time as well…

Which way Nigeria, actually..

For how long would this continue to go on like this?

Is this how a serious nation fights insurgency?
