The news of the coalition of political gladiators in Nigeria under the aegis of the African Democratic Congress, ADC came with some euphoric aggrandizement which many thought would be a masterstroke to rattling the “miss-ruling” APC government.
Did it rattle them?… Yes, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his APC group felt the movement, but later realize it may be another joke from power drunk erstwhile politicians.
There is a difference between coalition of political parties and coalition of political gladiators.
What APC had in 2014 was coalition of political parties where ACN, ANPP, others came together to form a new fresh party unlike what’s currently peddled by the ADC.
They had a common goal… The goal was to oust then President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan by all means possible.
They invented all sorts of strategies of which propaganda top the chart.
The rest is history….
Now, let me take you through to What happened and what’s still happening in the coalition debacle…
Atiku Abubakar + disgruntled PDP men with some APC fallouts in Tinubu’s ranks..
It’s more like this coalition is Atiku Abubakar’s led coalition who actually needs to lure or sign PETER OBI (Cristiano Ronaldo) to be able to win the champions league.
The excitement the coalition brought therewith has died down because it’s becoming obvious the intentions of the organizers are tilted towards an Atiku Abubakar’s side than others.
Recently, the social media is awash with the Obidients and Atiku supporters fighting for whom would be the flag bearer of the coalition.
It’s no deal breaker that bringing in a Northern candidate to thwart the remaining 4 years of the south would be a major negative campaign against the party.
I just noticed, they have probably recruited some Obidients, notably Omatayo Williams and Henry Shield to continously sell this narrative.
Meanwhile, they know that going into any Primaries with Atiku Abubakar is as well as nominating Atiku… Dollarized Primaries….

Regarding 2027, here are some hard facts many of you should know, according to Kelvin Alaneme.
1. ADC minus Peter Obi is just a decimated PDP and stands no chance of winning any serious election. This explains PDP boys’ efforts to cajole Obi into deputising for Atiku.
2. The organic following Peter Obi is enjoying is mainly because many Nigerians – Obidients or not – want to run for Presidency through him. They trust him. Now, if he declares to deputise for anyone, 60% of these followers will lose interest. And it doesn’t matter what he says. It is a case of what I ordered is not what I am getting. Period.
3. Those marketing the SE supporting Atiku as a sure pathway to a SE Presidency are making a major mistake. Igbos haven’t held Nigerian Presidency since 1966. And yes, we don’t care. We are not desperate for it and honestly, we are fine, whichever way. We have learnt to build our lives without any expectations from Nigeria. So, dangling Presidency before the SE won’t work. We didn’t even vote Ojukwu when he contested for Presidency and that should tell you a lot.
4. Nigeria is a mess at the moment. And we need good leadership. If you are still playing tribal politics come 2027, after all we have seen, you certainly can’t be helped.
5. Peter Obi had just 9 months in 2023. Yet, he won nearly 3 zones (SE, SS and almost NC), polled over 6 million votes (we know this was way more, but INEC), won a state and several legislators. With a head start come 2027, even the blind can see how this support will snowball into a massive figures especially now that BAT has proven to be a colossal disaster. All we need is to use the next year and half to plan for the election and make it ‘unriggable.’
6. Anyone telling you that Peter Obi cannot win without Atiku is merely fear-mongering. While it will be nice to enjoy an overwhelming Northern support, we can also do with moderate support in the North. Will it be difficult? Yes. Impossible? Hell, No! And we are used to doing difficult things. The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory.
7. Don’t let anyone fool you. Even if 2027 becomes a three-horse race between BAT, Atiku and Peter Obi like in 2023, there is a high chance that Peter Obi will win. This explains the incessant attacks on his person and why BAT left governance and faced campaigning for re-election. They have the data on ground and it is not looking good. Even BAT said it himself. “Nigerians hate me like hell, but I am still their President.” He knows the general sentiments. It is the reason they are afraid.
8. Nigerians will make BAT a one-term President.
