The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has signed a decree cancelling the sanctions regime against Syria from July 1.
Jkcynonews gathered that this decree has been in effect since 2004.
According to MintPressnews report , Israeli media report that Syria’s Ahmed al-Shara’a will soon meet with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister.
Citing “Arab sources” the Syrian leader is likely to meet the Israeli PM on the sidelines of an upcoming UN General Assembly meeting.
“The relationship between the two countries could be of great importance – both are effectively against Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Iran, and Hezbollah”, Israel’s Kan News reported.
Another source, citing Syrian officials, claimed that the Damascus government will give up the Golan Heights.

🚨 Israel and Syria are openly discussing a permanent peace deal. For the 1st time in modern history Syria will end its claim to the Golan Heights, annexed by Israel after the 1967 war.
No US President and Israeli Prime Minister Minister ever managed to achieve this cementing of Israeli security and rights. This would be a historic development, and will lead to a peace deal with Lebanon as well.
Israeli left-wing Prime Ministers all wanted to give up this crucial territory to Syria. Itzhak Shamir, and Benjamin Netanyahu insisted the Golan is Israel.

All US modern Presidents wanted to give up this crucial territory to Syria, President Trump insisted the Golan is Israel.
These are historic wins, historic leaders, after fifty plus years of dispute and conflict.
Meanwhile, below is a bit analysis of what possibly happened….
Syria’s Quiet Bargain
After five decades observing #MiddleEastern power politics, one constant remains, territorial disputes rarely disappear, they are traded.
President Trump’s lifting of sanctions on Syria and potential removal of its “terror sponsor” label is not an act of reconciliation, it is calculated geopolitical engineering under the #AbrahamAccords framework.
In exchange, Syria is reportedly prepared to forfeit its long-standing claim to the GolanHeights, tacitly legitimizing Israel’s 1967 annexation.
The implications are clear and historic:
📍It undermines UN Security Council resolutions and erodes the bedrock principle of territorial integrity
📍Sets a precedent where occupied territory becomes a bargaining chip, not a matter for international law
📍Alters Syria’s strategic alignment, weakening Iran’s regional posture and isolating Hezbollah
📍Grants Damascus temporary economic relief while compromising national sovereignty and domestic legitimacy
History will record this not as a peace breakthrough, but as a moment where the architecture of international law gave way to transactional diplomacy.
