It was a truly heartwarming occasion as graduates of Nnamdi Azikiwe University from across England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales gathered in unity for the maiden Summer Reunion of the NAU Alumni Association United Kingdom.
Themed “JOY IS COMING,” the event took place in Hounslow, London, on 26th July 2025. The distinguished Chairman of the occasion was Chief Sir Dozie Donat Okolo, a former national presidential candidate in the 2023 NAUAA elections in Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria. He delivered a thought-provoking keynote on “The Impact of Diaspora Alumni on the Nigerian Economy.”
The reunion was lively and well attended, also doubling as a celebration of love—marking the 22nd wedding anniversary of a Zikite couple and honoring other Zikites married to one another. The atmosphere was filled with joy as members danced, networked, and rekindled long-standing friendships.

A highlight of the event was the official launch of the NAUAA UK muffler, with members receiving their formal investiture. An engaging American-style auction added excitement, with one item fetching a top bid of £550. The evening’s energy was elevated by the charismatic hosting of renowned Zikite and celebrity compere, MC A1.
In his address, the President of NAUAA UK, Stanley-Pio Onwuzuruike, passionately underscored the importance of building a strong, supportive alumni network—one that not only uplifts its members in the UK but also supports underprivileged students and contributes to the broader Unizik community.
Hearty congratulations to the Interim President, Stanley-Pio Onwuzuruike, the Planning Committee Chairman, Chief Emeka Onyeje (Ezeugonnaya), and their dedicated team—for delivering a memorable and inspiring event. Indeed, it was a proud moment for all Zikites in the United Kingdom.
