Valentine Ozigbo : The Miscarriage of a ressurgent hope

On Thursday, the 20th day of February, 2025, the fomer gubernatorial candidate of Anambra State under PDP umbrella, Dr. Valentine Chineto Ozigbo decided to take the political space of Nigeria, Anambra state in particular by storm with his uncommon announcement of leaving Labour Party platform to join the APC.

This singular announcement has raised a lot of mixed reactions on the street of social media, with many dropping their opinions. Hey, opinions must always be dropped, especially in a critical issue of such.

To some, Valentine Ozigbo has committed political s.u.i.c.i.d.e whilst to some, he made the right decision.

One funny and surprising thing is how some persons have made this personal decision of Val a Peter Obi thing.

Some persons even turned it to an ethic bigotry issue by saying, “Kenneth Okonkwo left LP, Obidients didn’t attack him, Valentine Ozigbo has left and Obidients didn’t attack him, but when Doyin Okupe left, heavy attacks were lunched at him”.

“Such an unfortunate capping “…

Now let’s do this….. Most People have not really understood this..

It was really not about Valentine’s movement away from the Labour Party that’s the issue but him joining APC.

Val Ozigbo joins APC

Nefertiti, an Obidient soldier asked” How do you wake up & say “Obidients, I am one of you, vote for me in APC?” Oga, we rebuke you. The Obidients are not for hire, we ain’t for sale. The APC is not a party but a coven; that of the people of uncommon wickedness. I know the Devil & the Enemy when I see it; APC is him.”.

The few statements above would tell you unequivocally that it has little to do with Valentine leaving LP but 99.9% of him joining same APC he once detested, spat on and heavily criticized.

What exactly would Val be doing there at APC?

So, he would now bow down to Bulaba and tell him, sorry sir, all the things i said about you were just jokes..

Any major difference between Daniel Bwala and Valentine Ozigbo?

Majority of the “well meaning Nigerians” , except those benefiting from the jamboree see APC as a COVEN where majority with arguably questionable characters gather together to sing their hymn. Of course, dirty and evil songs against Nigerians.

APC have successfully decapitated PDP and LP. It means, Nigeria is probably running on a single party system.

Maybe, Labour Party in Anambra wouldn’t wish to give Valentine Ozigbo their ticket (which is very unfair).

To be fair to Valentine…. He reserves the right to chat his own course by leaving the useless labor party as it’s constituted now….

The question is, why Join APC of every other party?

Kenneth Okonkwo may follow Suit as his own would not come as a shock to anyone.

What has this got to do with his ambition of becoming the next Anambra Governor..

Valentine Ozigbo definitely must have known that he would not smell winning Anambra gubernatorial election under APC and against APGA.

This is a resounding Congratulations to Governor Charles “Nwa Mgbafor” Soludo on his re-election as the governor of Anambra State.

What even makes Valentine Ozigbo think APC would give him their ticket against other big wigs scavenging in same jungle of APC?

At worst, i think, he is only gunning for a political appointment under APC.

So unfortunate…

Meanwhile, after Soludo’s possible 8 years, power would shift to Anambra Central which the flag bearer is already known….

After that, power would move to Anambra North….

Goodluck to Valentine Ozigbo as his joins the dinning table of the APC where vulnerable Nigerians are only but the Menu.

  1. I think that it is better that Ozigbo did what he did now. It would have been worse if he had ridden on the back of Peter Obi and is voted in as the governor of Anambra State by the unsuspecting masses, only to start to show his true color after that. If he did this now, he would have definitely betrayed Peter Obi as the governor.
